Hyrum State Park is a great year-round fishing destination for bass, bluegill, perch, and trout. The park has a sandy beach and a boat ramp for boating.
There are 32 campsites and two cabins. A perfect place to camp in then drive the 10 miles to Logan’s amenities and events or less than five miles to Blacksmith Fork Canyon for hiking & biking.
Just a few miles east of Hyrum’s town square, Blacksmith Fork Canyon provides a nature getaway with many trails for running, hiking, and biking. There are also several camping locations and roads to explore with ATV’s. Great family fun.

Best time to hike this is in the spring after April 15, when they typically open the gate up left hand. About 1.5 miles up you’ll find a fun waterfall.

During the spring, summer and fall, Hardware Ranch offers opportunities for wildlife viewing, camping, hiking, and other outdoor recreation. Viewing the Elk is the most popular in winter months.
