Mountain Monday – Highline Trail

HiddenSagePhotography-259

It may not be super warm these days, but my friends we can still feel the sun and soon we will be hibernating, and enduring the inversion, cold temps, and short days. Get outside and enjoy these warm fall days.

The highline trail is close to first dam and Utah State University. The country club to be exact. (We were almost pegged by a golf ball haha)

The trail is a total of 3.4 miles out and back. Or you can drop down, cross the road and return on the river trail.

First you walk through the tunnel. The tagged tunnel with beautiful art. And after ascending a short spell of switchbacks you turn right and follow the trail into the canyon.

Part of it is fenced, other parts a drop off.

We saw a 4 point, and a doe, a fly fisherman, a dear friends from long passed days of ice skating. Oh yeah and a snake, which was only a sly mother’s prank.
